‘Liturgy of Love 1’ is a giclee print of an original 16x20” Japanese sumi ink painting featuring different Japanese rice balls.

About the Painting

I painted two versions of 30 onigiri (rice balls) after my first year of motherhood, thinking about the new rhythm of daily repetitive tasks. Rice balls are my ultimate comfort food I grew up with, made by little hand hugs by my mother to get the perfect rounded triangle shape. The meditative repetition of painting a variety of rice balls reflects and honors the unseen but important work of parenthood.

About the Prints

This archival art print is professionally printed in the Bay Area. The print is on matte, acid-free 340gsm 100% cotton fiber base material with the same texture as the original watercolor paper.

The measurements include the white edge so it can be framed with or without a mat/mount. Please contact me with any framing questions.

The print will be packaged flat in a clear sleeve between rigid boards for protection to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.

The print will be signed on the front and dated on the back in pencil.
